Tell us about your shop
Your shop’s name, address and opening hours. About ten minutes, and we can do it with you over the phone.

Add your first products
Walk an aisle with your tablet. Scan a barcode, check the details, type your price. Most owners list their best sellers in an afternoon.

Take your first order
When an order comes in, your tablet chimes. Tap to confirm, pack the bag, and the customer collects it with a 6-digit code.
Scan, price, done
Point your tablet camera at a product’s barcode and we fill in what we know — name, size, allergens, nutrition. You just type the price.
Orders ring the counter
A loud chime on your tablet or phone for every order. Confirm with one tap — the customer is only charged then.
GST handled properly
GST-free basic food, tax-invoice receipts, and a BAS-ready report your accountant will love.

Fair, simple pricing
No monthly fee to start. A small commission per online order — you earn, we earn. That's it.
To receive payments you'll need a Stripe account linked to Basko — Stripe is who safely moves the money from the customer's card to your bank. Already have one? Just connect it. If not, it's free to create and we help you set it up.

I'm not good with computers. Can I really do this?
Yes. If you can take a photo and send a text message, you have every skill needed. There is one screen for orders and one for products — no menus inside menus. And if you get stuck, email us and we will call you and go through it together, step by step.
What equipment do I need?
Just a tablet or smartphone with a camera — the one you already have is almost certainly fine. No barcode gun, no special till, no printer required.
What does it cost?
Nothing to join and no monthly fee. We take a small commission on each online order — if you don’t sell, you don’t pay. Your in-store sales are yours alone; we never touch them.
Do I need my own website?
No. Your store gets its own page on Basko with your name, your products and your prices. Customers find you by suburb, and you can share your page's link anywhere.
How do I get paid?
Online payments are handled by Stripe, a payment company trusted by millions of businesses, and the money from your orders goes straight to your bank account. To receive payments, you need a Stripe account linked to Basko: if you already use Stripe, you simply connect it during setup; if not, creating one is free and we walk you through it. Have your bank details (BSB and account number) and your ABN handy.
Who sets the prices?
You do, always. You can change any price at any time from your tablet, and it updates online straight away.
What if I already sell on another platform?
That's fine — there's no exclusivity and no lock-in. You can leave whenever you like and your product list stays yours.
