What Basko is (and isn't)
Basko is operated by Pediasoft I.T. Pty Ltd (ABN 99 134 729 114). In these terms, "we", "us" and "Basko" refer to Pediasoft I.T. Pty Ltd.
Basko is a marketplace. The stores on Basko are independent businesses: they own their products, set their own prices, and prepare your order themselves. When you buy, your purchase contract is with the store — we provide the platform, payment handling and support around it.
Prices, stock and product details are set by each store. We show them as the store provides them, along with unit pricing so you can compare fairly.
Your account
You need an account to place orders. Keep your sign-in details to yourself, tell us if you think someone else is using your account, and give us accurate contact details so stores can reach you about your order.
You must be at least 18 to buy age-restricted products where a store offers them, and stores may check ID at pickup or delivery.
Orders and payment
When you place an order, we put a hold on your card but do not charge it. The store then confirms it can fulfil your order — only at that point is your card charged. If the store declines or doesn’t respond in time, the hold is released and you pay nothing.
If a store can’t supply part of your order (say, the last one just sold), it may adjust the order and you’ll only be charged for what you receive.
Every completed order comes with a GST-compliant tax invoice.
Pickup and delivery
For pickup, choose a window at checkout and show your 6-digit collection code at the counter. If you can’t make it, contact the store from your order page — most are happy to hold it.
Delivery, where offered, is provided by the store within its own delivery area and fees. Delivery times are estimates; stores do their best, but traffic exists.
Cancellations and refunds
You can cancel free of charge any time before the store confirms your order.
If something arrives missing, spoiled or wrong, tell the store from your order page or contact us. Where a refund is due, it goes back to your original payment method.
Nothing in these terms limits your rights under the Australian Consumer Law or New Zealand’s Consumer Guarantees Act.
Allergen and product information
Stores declare allergens and ingredients for their products, and we display what they provide. This information is a guide, not a guarantee — manufacturers change recipes, and packaged food should always be checked against its physical label before eating. If you have a serious allergy, please treat the on-pack label as the source of truth.
Reviews
Only customers who completed an order can review a store. Keep reviews honest and about the shopping experience. We remove reviews that are abusive, discriminatory, or clearly not about the order.
If you run a store
Store owners agree to keep prices, stock and product information accurate, fulfil confirmed orders, handle food safely and comply with food-safety and labelling law, and charge GST correctly. Detailed merchant terms are provided when you sign up.
Fair use of the platform
Don’t misuse Basko: no fraudulent orders, no scraping or copying store data, no interfering with the service, and no using it for anything unlawful. We can suspend accounts that do.
Our responsibility
We run the platform with care and skill, and we stand behind the parts we control: the website, payments flow and support. We’re not liable for things outside our control — like a store’s food preparation — though we’ll always help you resolve problems, and your consumer-law rights always apply in full.
Changes to these terms
If we change these terms in a way that matters, we’ll tell account holders by email before the change takes effect. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Questions? Email support@basko.au.
